"Dog owners would love the park. It's very expansive and has varied terrain that would be fun for dogs to play in."

"The park with the famous painted ladies houses is a focal point. It's a great park that attracts people that live in the city and tourists alike. The neighborhood also has local restaurants all along Divisadero that are good."

"There are plenty of dog parks around, plus several dog walkers in the area if you are ever in a bind. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Everyone will love your dog because it truly is a dog city."

"I love this eclectic part of the city! It's quiet in some areas, but other spots are crowded with people and shops. It is a perfect area to live in. I love the weekend because that's when the farmers' markets set up, festivals happen, and I get the chance to have a picnic at the park. I love being able to to take nice strolls In my neighborhood, too."

"Great central location that makes it easy to go downtown or to Golden Gate Park on the Muni 21 line, or to go to the Mission or to the Marina on the Muni 22 line. Walking distance from the opera, the symphony, the ballet, Nourse Auditorium and the new San Francisco Jazz Center. Close to restaurants, shops and bars on Hayes Street. Three blocks to children's playground and basketball court in one direction and three blocks to Alamo Square Park in the other direction. Street parking can be difficult especially after 8:00 pm."

"I have lived in this neighborhood since 1991.You can walk to Golden Gate Park, Japan Town, Haight Ashbury, The Castro and the Marina. It's very pet friendly with 2 large designated areas for dogs. The recently renovated kids play area is wonderful. As a single woman, I have always felt safe. "
